Who makes Aniimo?

Aniimo is developed by Pawprint Studio, a Hangzhou-based studio whose team has open-world and anime-style game experience; the project took about two and a half years from first reveal to launch. In mainland China the operating entity is Shanghai Quletang Network Technology, and the game has been published internationally under the Kingsglory/Kingsgroup umbrella. Note that Pawprint Studio is the name to know — it appears on the official PlayStation blog announcement and in the game's own credits.

What kind of game is it?

A free-to-play, multiplayer, open-world creature-collecting action RPG. You explore the continent of Aidel, capture creatures called Aniimo, link and merge with them, and fight in real time. The full pitch is on the What Is Aniimo page.

Is it really free?

Yes — free to download and play on every platform, with optional monetization. The launch celebration hands out a substantial pile of free items; see launch rewards.

Which platforms is it on?

PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S launched September 16, 2026. iOS and Android followed in late September (platform storefronts showed slightly different dates during the rollout window). The game is cross-platform across all of them. Details: PC requirements and mobile rollout.

What languages does it support?

The game supports Simplified Chinese, English and other languages. This wiki is an independent fan project in English — creature and location names here are fan translations pending official English localization.

Do I need to play with other people?

No, but the game is designed as a shared world. You can play the story and overworld solo, while visiting other players' worlds remains optional and useful — weather-locked forms are capturable in a friend's world, and captures by friends light up your own dex. Some modes are squad-based by design, most notably Egg Grab Battle.

How many creatures are there?

Well over 200 collectible forms at launch across dozens of species families, with each species appearing in basic, regional, weather/time, boss, iridescent and — in rare cases — hidden pixel forms. The tier system is explained in forms & rarity, and per-creature data lives in the creature dex.

What is the fastest way to level?

Capture everything new. Dex completion is the biggest early XP source by a wide margin, followed by main-story quests and the Training Program. The breakdown is in the fast leveling guide.

How do I get rare forms like the iridescent ones?

Three main routes: overworld luck, nourishing a region's Ley Flower to trigger an iridescent phenomenon, and event/self-selection rewards (the launch gift lets you choose one iridescent free). Conditions per creature are listed on its dex page.

What is Break, and why does my damage feel weak against bosses?

Bosses carry a Break gauge. Until it is depleted they resist your damage heavily; break them and they stagger open. Bring a Breaker-role creature and carried gear like the Behemoth Horn — the team building guide and carried gear & pacts pages cover the details.

What are carried items and pacts?

Carried gear is equipment an Aniimo holds, granting stats — and, at max level, a pact that unlocks skill enhancement on one specific creature. Boss-form creatures come with enhancements built in. Full mechanics: carried gear & pacts.

What is Egg Grab Battle?

The game's search-fight-extract mode: squads enter dungeon maps, dig up Aniimo Eggs and gold chests, and extract by boat before the run falls apart. It is co-op at launch, with PvP planned later. Start with the Egg Grab Battle overview.

Where do I find a specific creature?

Each dex page lists the creature's regions, weather gates and unlock conditions — start at the dex overview. For region-by-region hunting routes, use the world & regions section.

Is there PvP?

Not at launch for Egg Grab Battle — the initial version is squad co-op, with PvP stated as a later addition. The overworld remains a shared, largely cooperative space.

Does progress carry between PC and mobile?

Yes — cross-platform progression is built in. One account, all platforms.

How do I stay current?

Launch-window events change fast. The news section tracks platform dates, milestone rewards and limited events in English, and each creature page is updated as the community confirms new spawn conditions.
